This table for a CBD restaurant was made from 100% recycled materials. Demolition house doors with the unique chevron design were sourced from demolition yards, sliced into sections, re-configured and mounted on a recycled oregon base. All the construction was completed by the men's shed in Brookfield, who took the project on for a small fee.
The priorities were the aesthetics of the table and creating minimal waste, so careful measured drawings were required to get the best and the most out of the original doors. Matching the chevron perfectly from three different doors was a serious challenge! The little glass windows became perfect apertures for the stainless condiments drop-ins.
